The Landscape No. 45, Autumn 1990. Landscape Education

This issue of The Landscape focuses on both a retrospective view of the Lincoln programmes and it also looks to the future. Simon Swaffield appropriately observes that "we must examine carefully the expectations we collectively (university and profession) place upon landscape architecture graduates, for in seeking technical proficiency in a large and expanding core area of knowledge and skills, we run the risk of stifling the creativity, and the critical and reflective thinking that ultimately underpins both design, and a university education. ”
