The Landscape No. 53 Autumn 1993

    Expand/collapse
    Description

The Landscape No. 53, Autumn 1993. The Machine...

This issue of The Landscape, while focusing on the computer, in terms of familiarisation, options, capabilities and applications, also has some “non-computer” contributions which we may seek refuge in. However, when we think about the pleasure of experiencing a well located and designed neighbourhood reserve or the inspiration derived from a well conceived and designed plant signature - there is an inescapable link. After all, the assembling, storing and manipulation of knowledge in the form of a computer database is the best platform we, as a profession, have ever had for credible open space advocacy or the creation of plant signatures based on the systematically updated and expanding knowledge of our flora.
