He developed pedigree English and Border Leicester and Southdown sheep, as well as Shorthorn cattle and Clydesdale horses. Active in farmers’ and Young Farmers’ affairs and the Methven A & P Association, of which he was president. An outstanding exhibition and prize winner at shows throughout New Zealand and Australia. His farm noted for its system of rotational grazing and pasture management. Highly esteemed as a stock judge and wool and pasture demonstrator.PersonR. J.
