Tribute to Dr Grant Tavinor, Senior Lecturer 2003–2025, Lincoln University

A memorial tribute to Dr Grant Tavinor (Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Lincoln University, 2003–2025), delivered at his funeral on 22 August 2025 by Associate Professor Stephen Espiner on behalf of Lincoln University. The text reflects on Grant’s impact as a teacher, scholar, leader (particularly as long-serving Chair of the Human Ethics Committee), and colleague, and acknowledges his international contribution to the philosophy of aesthetics and videogames, as well as his personal qualities of modesty, humour, and kindness.
