CollectionBledisloe Medal RecipientsDescriptionA portrait of B. K. C. Cameron (1951-55 BAgrSc), the Bledsloe Medallist, 2001. Brian pioneered irrigation systems in Canterbury. He developed crop rotations, stocking systems and techniques to suit and hosted numerous field days. He was foundation chairman of the New Zealand Irrigation Association and for 30 years chaired the Rakaia Irrigation Association. He was Deputy Chairman of the Barrhill/Chertsey Irrigation Cooperative Company. Brian served 20 years on the board of meat company PPCS, four as Deputy Chairman. In 1979 he served on the Cooperative Association steering committee and became first chairman of the New Zealand Agricultural Cooperatives Association when it was formed.PersonB. K. C.
