DescriptionThe northwest aspect of Ivey Hall - showing the west face of the original building (1878), the west face of the west wing (1881), and the Memorial Hall (1923).

Ivey Hall's three large bay windows can be seen from the northwest in interesting juxta-position. On the left is the tall semi-culcular window of the 1878 lecture room (the room's tiered seats have gone but some of the window's original curved glass panes remain), while on the right is the two-storey sqare bay of the students' sitting room in the west wing. The building turns at both these windows to form a recessed courtyard onto which many of the bedrooms and studies face.
