The luncheon to the visitors on Farmers' Day at the Canterbury Agricultural College at Lincoln

On Farmers' Day at Lincoln College in 1909, lunch is being served to celebrate the annual gathering of friends, seen here in a large marquee. Farmers Day at Lincoln College was the name given to the annual gathering of farmers at the Canterbury Agricultural College at Lincoln. In 1909 it was held on December 21st in beautiful conditions. The morning was spent in inspecting the crops and herds, the visitors being driven around in drags and afterwards a luncheon was held in a large marquee on the sports ground and a prize presentation ceremony took place.
