Lincoln University Art Collection
CollectionBrowse Our CollectionsDescription
Lincoln University has a fantastic collection of original artworks consisting of over 300 paintings, prints, sculptures and ceramics. The collection includes works dating from as early as 1639, with the majority of works by contemporary New Zealand artists from the 1970s through to the present day. The art collection exists to enhance the environment for staff, students, researchers and visitors and is also used as a teaching tool. In addition to the enrichment of the University setting, the collection forms a significant part of the broader context of art and culture, both locally and nationally.
Many works are on display throughout the University and can be viewed during the University’s normal hours of opening. For enquiries please contact millie.galbraith@lincoln.ac.nz
