As a renowned printmaker she uses her work to make connections between people and place.

After buying the old Ida Valley Hotel in the 1980s this area of Central Otago became a focus for her interest in protecting the ecological, spiritual and cultural features of the land. In Mediation for My Fore-Mothers, from her Protection Series, Webb includes the names of female ancestors from her English, Irish, Welsh and Nga Puhi heritage.

Webb (ONZM) is well-known for her innovative approach to printmaking, and the testing of tradition printmaking hierarchies. She has had a long career as an art educator and her work is held in major public collection throughout New Zealand.
