Originally part of an exhibition called "Te pōtiki o te ao", this title translates loosely to "the smallest te ao". Gracie and Thomas being the youngest members of his whanau are seen in much of Shannon's body of work.

As per most of Shannon's work, he employs a model that represents a figure he himself can identify with, drawing a feeling of lineage and re-creation of the lived narrative he is often considering when making work.

Production wise, he is working in a large studio with Hendrix to produce the works, the blur/lack of definition due to really slow shutter speed.
