The old chemistry laboratory 1890.

Chemical laboratory 1880-1929, converted then into the Dining Room and used as such until 1953.

The old chemical laboratory in the main building, being no longer required as such, was converted into the dining room which served the purpose, though increasingly in adequate, for 25 years until the palatial new refectory was opened in 1954 (Life and Work at Canterbury Agricultural College 1956).
