Stewart Building

The Stewart Building, named after Professor James D. Stewart, Principal of Lincoln College from 1974-1983, was constructed in 1990. The red brick-faced stucture was designed by the architectural firm of Sheppard and Rout, and in 1993 the building received a National Award for Architecture from the NZ Institute of Architects. The principal function of the building was to provide large modern lecture theatres for a growing student population.
