Scott Robertson joins illustrious List

Lincoln University's long tradition of All Black representation continued with the call-up of third-year Bachelor of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management student Scott Robertson for the recent Tri-Nations series against South Africa and Australia.

Robertson made his debut on 1 August at Jade Stadium (Lancaster Park), coming on from the bench in the test against Australia. In a similar pattern, he took the field from the reserves a fortnight later during the test against South Africa.
He made it three in a row when he came on in the second half for the injured Josh Kronfeld, in the final Bledisloe Cup test in Australia.

Originally from Bay of Plenty and a past pupil of Mount Maunganui College, 23-year-old Robertson is specialising in sports management for his BPR& TM degree at Lincoln. On the rugby field, he started his career as a centre and wing, then moved into the forwards at No. 8 during his last year at school, and now plays at flanker. His record includes 16 games for Bay of Plenty, 32 for Canterbury, and 27 Super 12 games for the Crusaders.

Robertson's selection as an All Black while a student at Lincoln adds his name to an illustrious list of players who have worn the silver fern while either at Lincoln or after having studied there. 

Lincoln's All Blacks include two All Black captains, Wilson Whineray and Andy Dalton, the legendary Kel Tremain, and others such as Duncan Hales, Ian Hurst, Hamish McDonald, John Hotop, John Buxton, Dennis Cameron, Michael O'Callaghan, Jeff Matheson, Andy Jefferd, Bret Codlin, Robbie and Bruce Deans, Albert Anderson, Craig Green and Alistair Robinson.
