2013 State of the Nation's Environment Address - Lou Sanson

Mr Lou Sanson, Director-General of the Department of Conservation (DOC), will address the statement;
New Zealand is more dependent than most developed nations on the wise stewardship of our natural environment for economic success and in particular, New Zealand’s current reliance on the dairy industry for much of its income. This requires a certain amount of give and take from the environment. For conservation and the natural resources sector as a whole, managing our natural capital intelligently is an economic reality that could be New Zealand’s quality point of difference.
