Ivor Elliott who died suddenly at his Morrinsville home on 18 October in his 61st year, had retired in 1972 after 14 years as Director of the Soil Research Station, Ministry of Agriculture, Ruakura. He came to Lincoln in 1932 from Nelson College and was a distinctive personality in the then closely knit student body. Obituary
