The vision for Ngaruawahia grounds itself upon the predicted population growth from 5000 < 10,000 people. Infill residential and commercial development forms and urban core while minimising sprawl around the periphery of the township. The form of development consolidates the historic street formation and important axis, reviving connections between the central township, the Waikato and Waipa Rivers The Point, Turangaaewae Marae, Taupiri Mountain and the Hakar
