Huntly is not the prettiest town along the river but the old times locals say its not meant to look nice-its a staunch working-mans town. Huntly is a "company" town and even though it has been labelled the ugliest town in New Zealand there are qualities within it which showcase its history cultural connections and community spirit. 

Design Vision: Located in the centre of the mighty Waikato, Huntly is in prime position to become a thriving town. Accommodating people who want the small town community feel, whilist still living in close proximity to bigger towns like Auckland and Hamilton. Huntly will become a destination town where people will come for day or weekend tips. With surrounding lakes, significant Maori sites and ecological features Huntly will be where Journeys will start, end the intercept.
