Pedagogy for the twenty first century James Dalziel

Professor James Dalziel, Director of MELCOE, visited Lincoln University for two Learning Design Workshops and a Public Lecture on Pedagogy in the 21^st Century. 

James and the MELCOE team at Macquarie University have done an excellent job in developing an Open Source Learning Design concept called LAMS (http://www.lamsinternational.com/).  LAMS is a plug-in to the Moodle environment and provides a rich design space for developing learning sequences that can be shared with other colleagues when appropriate.  Supporting Faculties and Divisions to embed this pedagogically driven design space in teaching at Lincoln University will be a focus for the LTL team over the next 12 months.  We are optimistic that, after an initial learning curve, this development will improve student learning as well as provide academic staff significant time-saving benefits in a time when people are so stretched.
