A portrait of Mr John Stewart Rennie (1913-15) of Taupiri, Waikato. Mr Rennie was at the College from 1913 to 1915. He was a member of the Second XV in 1913 and 1914, and played for the First XV in 1915. Mr. Rennie, after gaining his Diploma in 1915, immediately enlisted and served through the remainder of the War as a machine-gunner. He was a member of the body of troops which marched through to occupy Germany. On his return from the War, he helped his father on their "Netheby" property at Taupiri, Waikato.
