J. R. Charlton

J. R. Charlton, M.R.C.V.S., Lecturer on Veterinary Science at the Lincoln School of Agriculture (1 May1894-1902). Mr J. R. Charlton Lecturer on Veterinary Science, gained distinction in his studies at London and Edinburgh, and held for some time one of the coveted professional appointments under the Privy Council of Ireland, prior to his coming to New Zealand under appointment to the Department of Agriculture, which he resigned and entered upon private practice in Christchurch, shortly afterwards, accepting the lectureship at Lincoln (Source: STAR, ISSUE 5661, 4 SEPTEMBER 1896).
