    Thomas Turner Palethorpe graduated from Canterbury Agricultural College in 1897 with the Diploma of Agriculture.

    T. T. Palethorpe attended Christchurch Catherdral School, High School in Christchurch and Lincoln College.  He travelled independently to South Africa and listed as J. Palethorpe on the Roll of Honour Boer War (1899-1902). He died of sickness at the age of 22 in Pinetown, South Africa on 23 March, 1901.
