Design Intent: Population growth and international tourism in Kaikoura currently threatens the small coastal village values, and community aspirations. Residential development is beginning to sprawl out from the township at an unsustainable rate and it has been recognised that a clear vision is required to centralise future growth. My intent is to ensure the future growth of Kaikoura is centralised, connected and maintains the small town local qualities which make it unique and loved by the community it supports.
