21 September 1992 Message from the Chancellor of Lincoln University, Sir Allan Wright

Lincoln has always enjoyed close links with Southland. Every year our student intake includes a strong representation from Southland schools. Now that we have broadened our base to include Resource Studies and degree level studies in Parks and Recreation Management that representation has continued to expand.

As Lincoln University grows, we are keen to maintain the provision of good quality campus accommodation. We believe it is important for first year students in particular to live on campus and get the feel of the place.

Our current appeal has a new residential hall among its objectives. Many Southland students will come to Lincoln and enjoy the benefits of this hall and our other residential facilities. We look forward to them joining us in Canterbury during their student years and we want to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Lincoln thanks Southland for its support over the years and looks forward to a continuation of the partnership.
