The Vision: Transform the Gisborne-Wairoa railway from an abandoned damaged line into an exciting journey which connects a new generation of explorers and adventurers to the rugged beauty of the East Coast.

Goals and Objectives:
1. Develop a journey for cyclists and trampers who are looking to explore a coastal place rich with history and unique features off the beaten track
2. Create a journey which encompasses the variation which makes up the dynamic nature of the east coast giving an experience which allows people to become connected to place.
3. Protect and enhance ecological features and use people to create the space to develop identity allowing already slightly developed areas to flourish
