The ‘Coastal Pacific Cycle Trail’ is a proposed cycle route from Picton to Kaikoura. The government has announced funding to develop this alongside the State Highway One post earthquake rebuild.
This trail will be a 3 to 5 day ride and will take between 3 – 6 years to construct. Currently the
feasibility assessment by Tourism Recreation Conservation Ltd for Marlborough District Council is the only document publicly released.
