Applications open for Lincoln Foundation Awards
    Date6th March 2001Lincoln University

Applications are open for Lincoln University Foundation travel and study awards for projects contributing significantly to New Zealand's land-based industries.

Funded by the Lincoln University Foundation, which was established to mark Lincoln's centenary in 1978, the awards make travel, study or research opportunities available, with preference given to those showing through their projects a direct connection with land-based industries.

Applications from those supported by relationships with others in their respective industries - especially in research, teaching or extension – will be particularly welcomed.

Past awards have supported projects as diverse as artificial insemination, floriculture, vegetable growing for Asian markets, seed dressing, and postharvest treatment of fruit.

The closing date for applications is 31 March 2001, with awards to be taken up no later than 31 March 2002.

For forms and information about the awards contact Jan Latham, Secretary, Lincoln University Foundation, PO Box 94, Lincoln University, Canterbury, New Zealand.

Ian Collins, Journalist, Lincoln University, Canterbury, New Zealand.
