Lincoln University's Sports Scholarship Programme which started in 1999 with Cricket, Netball and Rugby, and had Hockey added last year, now has the new addition of Table Tennis.

Two Table Tennis Scholars join the latest intake of Sports Scholars and they will be taking part in general sporting getting-to-know-one-another activities on the sports fields by the Recreation Centre at Lincoln University from 9.30am on Monday morning.

Forty-four new scholars across the five codes (Cricket, Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Table Tennis) join the programme this year, lifting the total number of Sports Scholars at Lincoln University to 132.

The Table Tennis Scholarship opportunity has been developed in association with Canterbury Table Tennis and the first two scholars are -

    John Cordue of Wellington and

Yi-Sien Lin originally from Taiwan and now of Christchurch.
