Halswell Bush: Immersing into the Soundscape

Aim: This ten-year project would make Halswell Bush become a compelling and immersive acoustic community hub for residents and visitors. The connection between two subdivisions would increase with applying the soundscape design.

Vision: Halswell Bush will provide a series of experiences along with the movement, leading with with the combination of audio-visual clues and spatial space design to connect the subdivisions within ten years.

Sub-goals:

• To establish the physical connection with the appropriate sounds experiences.
• To expand the green network based on sound resources.
• To provide public space for social relationships and activities with an appropriate sound environment.

Objectives:

• To provide at least 3 minor roads that connect to the major road in each subdivision in three years.
• To increase the rate of urban green infrastructure in residential areas up to 10% in seven years.
• To establish a multi-functional soundscape hub for each subdivision that includes 1 soundscape park and at least 1 commercial or recreational hub in five years.
