    About

It is with the deepest regret that we record the passing of Pilot Officer John Neville Steeds, killed during operations over the Low Countries. John left the position of treasurer on the College Staff during 1939, to commence flying training. Popular and respected by both Staff and Students, he is perhaps best remembered as President of C.U.C., for the fine work done in strengthening the ties between C.A.C. and C.U.C. Largely through his efforts C.A.C. was able to participate in Revue, C.U.C. Spring Sports meeting, Easter Tournament, and other activities in which spheres C.A.C. is too small to operate under its own colours. We extend our sympathy to his mother and other relatives.
