A 15 percent EFTS increase in registrations at Lincoln University has been one of the best first term EFTS enrolment results in recent years and lays a firm platform for a buoyant 2004, says Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Roger Field.

"With mid-year entry and our end-of-year summer schools still to come, Lincoln is off to a flying start," he says.

Bolstering the traditionally strong international enrolment at Lincoln has been a solid three percent lift in the domestic EFTS total.

"This domestic boost is particularly encouraging given the highly competitive domestic recruitment market," says Professor Field.

"We now have many delighted members of the academic staff reporting class sizes at new levels of capacity. The agricultural, science and commerce classes in particular have shown renewed strength of numbers."
