Families are being asked to help overseas students studying at Lincoln College get to know about New Zealanders
and the New Zealand way of life by inviting the students into their homes.

Dr Kuan Goh, Reader in Soil Science at the college, said host families invited students for meals or to join them on family outings.

Those families who would like to host students should call Dr Goh at the college on 252-811 extension 789.

Or they can call Mrs Shirley Warren, health services supervisor at the college,on extension 770.

"Those who host students will also learn about the countries from which the students come," Dr Goh said.

Dr Goh said this was the third year of the overseas-students family hospitality scheme.

Those who want to be host families are assigned a student or students, and then invite them to their homes.
