25 Feb 1986 Chairs elected to Lincoln College Council

Sir Allan Wright has been elected chairman of Lincoln College council, and Mr Neil Taylor has been elected deputy chairman.

First appointed to the Council by the Governor-General in 1973, Sir Allan Wright has been deputy chairman since 1980.

He succeeds Mr Sid Hurst, who had been on the Council since 1962 and chairman since 1980.

Mr Taylor, who is director of the New Zealand Meat and Wool Board Economic Service, joined the Council in 1983, and this year started his second three-year term.

Sir Allan Wright has been elected for three years as chairman, while Mr Taylor has been elected for a one-year term.
