At Lincoln University the Ivey Hall garden courtyard is a central feature of the building. It is named the Ruth Burns Court to commemorate the initiative and efforts of Lady Burns to secure the restoration of Ivey Hall and was opened on 24th February 1989. The design on the 2004 plan shows the garden redevelopment that was designed after the building had been extended and refurbished.
