Goal: To recreate and reconnect the urban wasteland at Takapuna Beach key assumptions
Objectives:

The NSCC reforms its policies on urban growth patterns and looks to make the city more efficient, compact and sustainable. objectives
Rejuvenate Takapuna as an important commercial centre and as the North Shore's cultural capital
Reconnect the cultural centre of Takapuna to the coast
Create an attractive and functional pedestrian oriented environment which caters for positive interactions
Facilitate more sustainable living
Accommodate all site users and encourage the creation of a diverse, vibrant community
Incorporate historical and indigenous themes and values
