A pioneering publication in the new field of Transport Communications co-authored by Lincoln University’s Professor of Transport Studies, Christopher Kissling, and Victoria University’s Emeritus Professor of Communication Studies, John Tiffin, will be launched with a function at Lincoln University on Wednesday 13 February, in the University Library, starting at 5.00pm.

The book is titled - Transport Communications Understanding Global Networks Enabling Transport Services.

It examines the growing role of information technology in the field of transport studies and how this combination leads to globalisation. It is believed to be the first book to explain the vital link between transport and communications.

Intelligent transport: the new communication technologies
Communications for transport logistics and global supply chains
Transport communications theory
Networks enabling transport systems
Water, air, land and pedestrian transport
Transport communications theory
Scenarios of globalisation.
