Lyttelton Coastline Revitalisation. As one of the gateways to Christchurch City and the economic corridor to the South Island, Lyttelton is making extraordinary contributions to Canterbury region and even the entire South Island; however, the local community is suffering from the unavoidable industrial development. The development of the port industry and the booming of Lyttelton harbour community is a principal contradiction in Lyttelton. In theis project, we focus on solving traffic problems, providing public space, reviving the coastline, exploring what is possible here and what the most ambitious thing for Lyttelton should be. Coastline revitalisation : Returning the coastline to nature, providing the coastline to community, selling the coastline to visitors and keeping the functionality of the coastline for industrial requirement.
