Upper Riccarton Development Plan. Even the name of Upper Riccarton comes from Riccarton, it has no strong identity. Geographically it is one of gateways connecting suburbs to city centre. The new Upper Riccarton will build up a name for himself, show the cultural diversity of city, and show the significance of himself.

Vision:

Find the identity of Upper Riccarton, rebuild lifestyles and create a strong and unique destination for Christchurch city.
Be a lively cultural hub and response to current ethnic background and university context.
