2021 Lincoln graduate Phoebe Topp is already working in primary sector training, passing on the knowledge she gained from her Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) degree.
As a training advisor at Primary ITO, she undertook her role after a period shepherding on a high-country property in Wanaka.
“I am loving watching people grow and build up their knowledge and passion around farming,” she says.
“I chose to study at Lincoln after attending the university’s Open Day. I loved the idea of studying at a small campus with a friendly atmosphere.
“I am also from the Wairarapa, so studying at Lincoln meant an opportunity to explore the South Island, which was completely foreign to me at the time.”
A highlight from her time at Lincoln involved receiving the opportunity to travel to Brazil with 15 other students on a Prime Minister’s Scholarship.
“The Halls of Residence, being Vice-Chair of Lincoln Young Farmers and being a Future Leader Scholar were also memorable from my time at Lincoln,” she says.
“The biggest thing I gained from my time at Lincoln was the people I met, and the network opportunities are endless while you are at uni.”
