Lincoln University is co-hosting a FREE virtual event to investigate how Aotearoa New Zealand can take real action to action to achieve the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Under the theme of 'Collaborating for Systemic Change', the online event brings together business leaders, experts, students, community leaders and government organisations to investigate how the SDGs can be implemented locally and across the country.
Guided by Agenda 2030 and the central, transformative promise to #LeaveNoOneBehind, the summit celebrates creating more inclusive opportunities to collaborate for systemic change.
Participants can choose their pathway for action and be immersed in a one-day virtual experience with interactive workshops, project showcases, and moments to explore accelerating an SDG Alliance and the official signing of a SDG Declaration for Aotearoa.
The programme lineup includes 10+ interactive online sessions across multiple time slots.
Sessions will begin on the hour, every two hours throughout the day. In keeping with SDG3, Good Health and Wellbeing, there are multiple carefully timed breaks throughout the day for time away from the screen, and to process the virtual experience.

For more information about the programme lineup, see the SDG Summit website.
The SDGs are 17 internationally agreed goals that will lead to a more equitable and sustainable planet. They cover all elements of global sustainability from eradicating poverty to clean oceans and equitable education to climate change action.
The Lincoln Community Sustainability Experience – date to be determined
In conjunction with the SDG Virtual Summit and on a date still to be determined, Lincoln University will invite participants and other members of the public to visit the campus for the Lincoln Community Sustainability Experience.
The event will show how the university and other experts and scientists in the district are working to implement the SDGs.
