27 June 1984 Mr Roger Hugh Juchau appointed as Foundation Professor of Finance and Accounting

Lincoln College has appointed a 43 year old Australian, Mr Roger Hugh Juchau, as Foundation Professor of Finance and Accounting; he will take up his appointment in February next year.

Presently Mr Juchau is Head of the Division of Finance and Information Systems in the Nepean College of Advanced Education School of Business at Westmead, New South Wales.

He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Commerce, from the University of New South Wales, Bachelor of Education, from the University of Queensland, and Master of Arts, from Sussex University.

His main teaching areas are financial accounting, managerial accounting, and financial management. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants.

He has carried out research into the nature of professional accounting organisational analysis, curriculum development in accounting, and liquidity management practices.

Mr Juchau is currently investigating pricing strategies of Australian companies, and the work roles of practising accountants.

He started his professional career in 1960 as a management accountant, and moved on to become an instructor and training officer.

He began his academic career in 1967 when he was appointed to the Ealing College of Higher Education in the United Kingdom.

He has since held lecturing posts at the Queensland Institute of Technology, the University of the South Pacific and Macquarie University, in Sydney.

Mr Juchau was appointed to Nepean College of Advanced Education in 1975.

He has contributed many articles to professional journals, and written several papers for conferences both in and out of Australia.

Mr Juchau is married and has three children.
