Cyril Blakeney

Student of Canterbury Agricultural College (1908-1909). Ashwick Station, Fairlie, South Canterbury

Cyril entered Lincoln College in January 1908 aged 17. He was an adopted son of the Hamilton family (of later Hamilton jet boat fame), and a past pupil and prefect at Christ's College. Cyril was killed in action in Palestine in 1916 serving as a Captain in the Canterbury Mounted Rifles.
