West Ribbon - Liu Xiaoxi

In this project, the main idea off my design is create a walkway and cycleway called west ribbon which beside the rail track to increase the walkability in Christchurch. The study area  is located on the west of Christchurch which from north Hornby to west Heglay park, it include a series of railway tracks, part of Main South Road, Riccarton and industrial area of Middleton. The West Bibbon is a colorul walkway and cycleway from hornby to papanui, it will provides a wonderful walking experience for local and visitor. The different color indentifies the different walking experience in the current site. There are several abandoned land can be replaced as pocket park which can increase the environment quality and attractivity.
