How can urban gateways be planned and designed so that it enhances the landscape
value and wellbeing of a community? Existing and potential quality of drivers: Visible Identity, Transition, Natural Resources, Local Cultural Heritage.

Vision:  Designing the water front gateway of Matiatia Bay that reduces the pace at which people travel through turning the location into a destination not just a transition area. This will result in enhancement of landscape value through the reflection of culture and history whilst also improving the community wellbeing and benefiting them through economy, ecology and Social factors.
