The Avon River (Otakaro) is an important river which flows though the Christchurch city centre. It starts in the western suburb of Avonhead and flows into the Pacific Ocean via the Avon Heathcote Esturay, with most of its drainage basins in residential suburbs. Avon River has a high Maori cultural value, and has provided food and supported life in the past.

Vision: The vision ofmy MD project is solve the storm water, flooding problem of Avon River decrease the bad effect for residential people. At same time, improving the water quality of Avon river to provide high ecological and recreational value. Give a susta inable life style to Christchurch resident.
