Design Vision: The intent is to create a development encompassing all things New Zealanders wish from a new suburban subdivision while building towards a more sustainable design practice of subdivisions for future population growths and generations. It aims to bring together the active lifestyle of Nelsonians, the recreational networks and encourage social interaction at all levels of their daily routines. The intent is that Bramley Fields will be a neighbourhood where mixed use medium suburban density, ecological value and sense of place work in unison create a space that is a cohesive and socially interactive neighbourhood while also being connected both internally and with the wider community. This will benefit all those in its proximity, including future fringing developments, rather than just the residents themselves. The intent is that it will create a catalyst for change with social, environmental and economic value to the wider region. The name Bramley Fields is derived from the original use of the site with the area having a predominantly orcharding background and Bramley Apples being unique to the site.
