Project Vision: This project is aiming at establishing a well-designed cycleway along the Avon River and reform the red zone area from city to east coast with providing a range of cycling experience while strong the relationship between Christchurch city to the sea, bridge the gaps within regions to achieve local coherence and re-energized east region of Christchurch city. 

The key study area within the city to sea trail is Avondale, Burwood and Dallington. As for Environmental aspect, the ecological value will be increased through red zone area reformation and wetland system intervention. As for social value, the population of the east region will be increased by the integrated plan. As for Economic value, the plan can increase the workspace in the east of central city.
