    Addington is one of major suburbs in Christchurch. It is located 2.5 km southwest
    of the Christchurch central city. It sits in a Ii mined space between the CBD and outer
    suburbs of Christchurch.

    Design Vision:

    1. A destination: A vibrant urban space built with a high quality public realm and environmental quality, in rich cultural value and great sense of the place.
    2. A Home: A place where the local community will enjoy improved pedestrian and cycling connection, better access to the railway with a range of mixed-use developments. 

    Goals: 

    To create an unique, sustainable urban environment near Addington railway that successfully integrates land use and the railway, and reinvents the poor urban industrial area as a social ecology space.

    1. Introducing the mixture of business and residential housing typologies near railway
    2. Developing a pedestrian friendly space, walkway, and cycling network to form a move connection cross Addington railway
    3. Increasing the public realm and sense of place and cultural integration through reused and developed the unuse urban spaces, and increased environmental quality in the industrial area.
