19 September 2025 Koru Games bring sport and smiles to campus

The three-day event, organised by the Selwyn Sports Trust, saw more than 450 teams from South Island 67 schools compete in 18 different sports. If you were on campus, you might have heard the excitement from volleyball, korfball and dodgeball games being played here.

We’re proud to sponsor the Selwyn Sports Trust and be part of this event that supports participation, connection and development through sport for Year 7 and 8 students.

Lincoln University Events Specialist Angelina King said it was fantastic to see the success of the event.

 “Our sporting facilities were filled with young athletes representing their schools with pride, 

 “Seeing them have fun, connecting with others and growing through physical activity is an awesome outcome for us. Partnering with the Koru Games also strengthens our ties with the Selwyn Sports Trust and our wider community.”

It was a pleasure to host part of this year’s action on campus and help grow opportunities for young athletes across the South Island.
