22 July 2025 Lincoln's record-breaking Open Day

The university recently held its annual open day, which brought more than 1500 people onto campus and into Lincoln Township.

Almost 800 people checked in on the day, a whopping 40% increase on last year. Most guests were accompanied by at least one member of their whanau.

More than 200 of our visitors signed up to try our new dining hall experience. They got to sample the same food that students living on campus enjoy, providing a real look into the daily student life.

It wasn’t just on campus they were eating. Families spread throughout the township for lunch, bringing extra business to our local economy.

It was great having so many people here from across New Zealand. We look forward to welcoming many fantastic new students to Lincoln.
