16 October 2025 Huge wave of Agri Futures Scholarships supports new and existing Lincoln Students

This year 14 scholarships were awarded, nearly twice as many compared to previous years. The programme is administered by the New Zealand Rural Games Trust with the aim of fostering talent and leadership within rural communities.

The recipients all share a strong passion for rural life and a clear dedication to shaping the future of New Zealand's primary industries.

Our 2025 Agri Future Scholarship recipients are:

• Lucy Eason (Moa Flat, Blue Mountain College): A true high-country enthusiast with a passion for land and livestock, now pursuing agricultural studies to bring modern knowledge back to the family station. In 2026, Lucy will either undertake a cadetship with Growing Future Farmers or study towards a Bachelor of Agriculture at Lincoln University.
• Lucy Allomes (Woodville, Lincoln University): A determined endurance rider and academic, balancing high-level equestrian competition with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Lincoln University. (Pictured above)
• Jorja Fountaine (Kumeroa, Rathkeale College): An outstanding boarding school leader aiming to strengthen NZ's primary industries through a degree in Agribusiness and Food Marketing at Lincoln University.
• Bridie Humphrey (Manawatū, Feilding High School): A dynamic all-rounder who excels on the farm, on the netball court, and as a dedicated community volunteer. Bridie will study a Bachelor of Agriculture at Lincoln University.
• Lucinda Newman (Woodford House, Hawke’s Bay): A Wellbeing Prefect who has actively sought hands-on farm experience, demonstrating a deep commitment to the business of agriculture. Lucinda will study towards a Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing at Lincoln University.
• Jessica Will (Waituna West, Feilding High School): A highly capable senior rousie in a shearing gang, recognised for her strong work ethic. Jessica will work towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Agriculture at Lincoln University.
